Starlight is dedicated to transforming the lives of seriously
ill children and teens through imaginative programs that educate,
uplift spirits, foster a sense of community and help alleviate
the pain and fear of a prolonged illness.
Starlight could not exist without the generosity of a wide variety
of people who care deeply about sick kids. Together, with your
support, we can reach out to touch their lives in profound ways

How does your donation help seriously ill children and their
families?
- Provide joy and distraction for hospitalized kids with bedside
access to a Starlight Fun Center - mobile units with a flat-screen
TV, DVD player and Nintendo Wii Game System.
- Provide a child with access to World, a safe and secure online
network providing peer support and fun activities where hospitalized
kids can be distracted from pain, fear and loneliness.
- Provide a teen with cancer with access to our Coping with
Chemo program - a series of online webisodes designed to help
kids and teens find positive ways to deal with their serious
condition and treatment.
- Provide a hospitalized teen with a week of access to a PC
Pal - an internet ready laptop computer so they can stay connected
to their friends, do homework, and connect to Starlight online
network of custom designed programs.
- Allow a seriously ill child or teen to participate in a Starlight
Great Escapes event, which includes ball games, movies and picnics.
Because childhood illness takes a toll on the whole family,
Starlight provides much welcomed opportunities for sick kids
to spend "normal" family time together - away from the hospital.
