Welcome to the Ottawa Regional office of the Starlight Starbright
Children's Foundation!
Over the past ten years, volunteers have worked incredibly
hard in Ottawa and surrounding areas supporting the Starlight
Starbright Children's Foundation. As a direct result of these
efforts you have helped us build awareness of the Foundation
in the region, granting over 187 wishes, hosting 30 Great
Escape events, placing 7 Fun Centres and building 2 Starlight
Sites in the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
Working in partnership with local hospitals and pediatric
facilities we have seen the need for Starlight programs in
the region escalate dramatically. Striving to meet the increased
demand for services Starlight has hired a Regional Coordinator,
Britta Gerwin, to better serve the needs of this region. It
is our belief that a local staff person representing the Foundation
can help us to reach even larger milestones, therefore bringing
more smiles and laughter to some very special children.

We would like to thank the many volunteers and local businesses
that have donated their time and resources to make our events
a wonderful success. Special thanks to Saunder’s Farm for
hosting our spooktacular Halloween Great Escape a fantastic
day was had by all. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers
of La Grange de la Gatineau, Loblaws - Barrhaven and Incredibles
Catering for a magical Holiday party, every detail of the
day added to the festive season.
Many thanks to the team at PriceWaterHouse Coopers for their
dedication and hard work assembling gala gift bags and silent
auction items for our first annual fundraising evening.
