Volunteer

Help make a difference – and have fun doing it!

Starlight Canada is extremely fortunate to have an incredible team of volunteers across the country! We have loyal, enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers, constantly extending a helping hand. The time and energy that our volunteers give allows Starlight Canada to help make children smile and families cope. The appreciation we feel for all of our volunteers is huge.

Thank you Starlight volunteers for helping put smiles on the faces of hundreds of children!

Volunteer Opportunities

Trick or Suite Toronto

When: October 22nd

Starlight Canada’s Trick or Suite is a Halloween event and family getaway rolled into one. This event is designed exclusively for Starlight children to trick or treat indoors at a local hotel and then enjoy a night – not in hospital but in a hotel suite with their families. We are looking for volunteers to help set up and tear down the event, register Starlight families, and as activity supervisors. There are many different positions and shifts available, from 10:00am – 10:00pm.

Interested in volunteering for any of the events above? Email Carly Raffiek, Manager, Events & Development, at carly.raffiek@starlightcanada.org with your full contact information and desired event.

Join our Family of Volunteers

We would love to have you join Starlight Canada as a volunteer! Our volunteers are like family and we are always looking for new and enthusiastic people interested in lending a helping hand. We currently have opportunities for volunteers to help with events and office administration.

Once you have attended a volunteer training session and you have accepted a role as a Starlight program volunteer, you must complete a Vulnerable Sector Background Screening prior to starting. Our priority is to look out for the safety and well-being of our children.

In order to become a volunteer with our organization, or if you have any further questions, please contact Jessie Neiman at 1-888-782-7947 ext. 1230 or by email at jessie.neiman@starlightcanada.org.
