2020 may look different, but Toys“R”Us Canada’s and Babies“R”Us Canada’s Let’s Play Canada mantra hasn’t wavered.
When COVID-19 hit, Toys“R”Us Canada quickly adapted to keep the power of play alive for both their customers and for seriously ill children and their families across the country. Now in our 22nd year of partnership, during a year like no other, we continue to be moved by their involvement as community leaders and their passion for giving back.
Outside the walls of their own stores this year, Toys“R”Us Canada helped us make history in bringing our first-ever Virtual Starlight Gala to fruition as presenting sponsors, as well as supported the launch of our newest Play From Hospital To Home Program by donating 300 packs themselves to isolated, immunocompromised children.
In-store this holiday season, Toys“R”Us Canada continues to make a difference alongside Starlight Canada (in more ways than one!) – and so can you!
2020 Limited Edition Collectible Starlight Bear®
An adventurous young boy, Christian was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 18 months old. Inspired by Christian’s courage, Grey’s name, paws and ears represent the grey matter of the brain and his fight against nerve damage. Not only do Grey and Christian have matching bright blue eyes, but Christian wanted his bear to wear a fancy turquoise bow – his favourite colour!
Available in-store or online thanks to Toys“R”Us Canada, proceeds from the sale of Grey will help brighten the lives of seriously ill children, just like Christian.
