As our leading national supporter, their communities across the country come together in unique ways year after year to create joy and relief for children coping with a diagnosis or living with a chronic condition.
Thanks to the determination of their incredible staff and customers, an astounding $1,637,046 was raised in Toys“R”Us Canada stores over the 2022 holiday season, and beyond, to help families with sick kids find their smiles again – from hospital to home!
This amazing contribution will turn dreams into reality for Starlight kids of all ages and abilities through once in a lifetime experiences, and ensure that every family feels emotionally supported on their medical journey. Whether it be providing hospitalized kids with Comfort Kits™, creating ATV adventures through our Great Escapes® Wishes program, or hosting epic shopping sprees, Toys“R”Us Canada brings joy and comfort for all… and now, they are spreading that same love to moms.
Many Starlight moms are the backbone of their family, often giving so much without asking for anything in return. From holding their child’s hand at every doctor’s appointment to constantly worrying about their child’s health, their strength is admirable, and their love is unconditional.
To show our appreciation, Toys“R”Us Canada and Starlight Canada have made May a celebration of moms everywhere! Customers and Starlight kids have been stopping by their local stores to share all the reasons why they love their moms with Mother’s Day themed colouring pages. Over Mother’s Day weekend, Crayola even provided crayons to bring the colour across the country!
