For many families across Canada with seriously ill children, relaxation or excitement around the holidays can be difficult when their lives are filled with worries and anxiety. As a partner of Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada’s for over 8 years, the Ardene Foundation has been dedicated to relieving some of that stress and is once again bringing holiday cheer to kids and their families in need of a smile.
This giving season, the Ardene Foundation invites you to join their staff and customers in providing much-needed moments of joy to families with sick children. From now until January 1, 2023, Ardene is making gift shopping meaningful by collecting $1 donations for Starlight Canada at checkout in store and online. All proceeds will support children and hospitals within your community, because doing good feels good.
In 2022, the Ardene Foundation has touched the lives of hundreds of families with seriously ill and hospitalized kids from coast to coast with their unwavering support.
Earlier this year, an amazing 67 Play From Hospital Shipments sponsored by the Ardene Foundation packed with new toys, books, and more made their way to across Canada to bring comfort directly to isolated children in their hospital rooms. Furthering their in-hospital impact, Ardene staff even donated their time to help label and ship 54 Starlight Nintendo Switch Handhelds nationally to give pediatric patients relief and fun during scary hospital stays. These incredible deliveries of portable gaming systems loaded with hours of entertainment are giving plenty of support to hospital staff, while offering distraction to young kids in stressful situations.
Beyond the hospital walls, the Ardene Foundation continues to make a lasting impact. As a national sponsor for Starlight Great Escapes Wishes, the Ardene Foundation has given children of all ages and abilities a taste of adventure through our Motomax programs and more. With thrilling hovercraft and ATV rides, along with relaxing pontoon cruises in the summer, priceless memories were made and plenty of laughter was shared by families throughout the country.
Most recently, Ardene and the Ardene Foundation team got into the Halloween spirit by bringing fun and fright to hundreds of Starlight families across Canada! Ardene staff took part in packing Halloween goodie bags for sick kids, while team members in each city came dressed in their best spooky costumes at Starlight Canada’s Trick or Suite events to create the magic firsthand!
