As the holiday season approaches, you may be starting your shopping, ticking things off the list and making sure there will be presents to open for all your loved ones. As our 12 Kids of Starlight campaign continues, today we are excited to introduce you to someone you may already know…
Today, we introduce you to Madison.
Madison is small but mighty. She has cerebral palsy and nephrotic syndrome. Her days are filled with appointments, therapies, surgeries and doctors’ visits, which doesn’t leave much time to be a kid of spend time with family. Watching her older brother and friends do things she can’t is often very difficult, but playing with toys often makes her feel better.
This holiday season, as she’s busy promoting the 2019 collectible Starlight Bear®, Super Bear, she’s also setting her sights higher and fundraising $2,500 for 12 Kids of Starlight. Madison wants to ensure that children in hospital this holiday season don’t feel lonely or forgotten. That’s why she designed Super Bear with a cape and a star, and that’s why she’s wanting to give back further. Knowing how isolating it can feel being in hospital when everyone else is doing things without you, Madison wants to ensure that this holiday season, no child is forgotten, and instead can receive just as many toys in hospital as they would at home!
A special thank you to Access Storage for being Madison’s official sponsor, and matching all donations in her honour up to $2,500!
